Our Story

Village & Vessel was born in a garage in Oak Park, IL.

Before COVID, Sarah’s energetic outlet used to be comedy; she performed, taught, and produced at Second City, iO Chicago and ComedySportz for 16 years.

Because life wasn’t busy enough, Sarah also worked in tech for 10 years. First as a Project Manager and finally as the Director of Production at a Chicago-based tech agency. Additionally, Sarah studied Interior Design at Parsons School for Design and a couple years back, she got her Bachelor's from Northwestern University. Sarah loved using energy work on stage, in business and in interior styling, to successfully collaborate and create.

But then COVID hit and life felt too short. So Sarah ended her career in tech and set out to find beautiful crystals, make lasting relationships with mining families, and set up shop in her garage. With peace and evolution guiding the process, Village & Vessel eventually found its home in the Scoville Square Building at 135 N Oak Park Ave.

Sarah is joined by Beth and Ivan, both deeply knowledgeable crystal practitioners, who can help guide you towards the right crystals, assist you in creating the Altar of your dreams, help you find the perfect gift for a loved one, and educate you along the way. We can't wait to meet you at the shop or online.
